Week 98

D&C 128:22 "Shall we not go on in so great a cause?" Hey everyone! We had such a great week full of miracles! Its hard to put into words how amazing this work is. The work of God, just as music and the dancing steps to it. The dancing looks awkward and is really hard and uncomfortable to follow without the music! But once we hear the music the dancing is a joy. I have followed the steps of the gospel all my life, but now after everything I have experienced I have really come to hear the music of the gospel, which is the joy and blessings and hope that comes from following Christ .   We had exchanges this week which led us to traveling a lot. So I had a lot of time to think and read. Something I was thinking of is how God is real, and not just a God but a loving father in heaven. We literally have nothing to fear, as He said to a revelation given to Joseph Smith as recorded in D&C section 6 in the 36th verse, "Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not....

Ayos lang ko, caso lang, medyo masakit ang katawhan ko.  Kay nabaskit mi sa umaga   Hi there! It's me Elder Robertson here again. We played a lot of basketball earlier with some of our friends for about 2 hours! I wish I listened to my track Coach Mathias about stretching. I can definitely count on one hand how many times I've stretched these past 2 years, and now I'm sore everywhere haha! I have a goal now to stretch once a week. If I can remember and if that even makes a difference.  We ate with the other Elders, we all bought sisig, (the pig face that you chop up and sizzle in a pan). I will cook this when I get home for anyone that wants!  We did so much this week that I can barely remember it all. But it was awesome. We achieved our goals. Which saying that outloud makes this missionary work sound like some business. Well it's the business of God. He is working time and I am so glad that I can be here working along side the Lord in this full time service.  ...

Angay Hugot jud ang pagtuo naton Okay now I'm write the real email.  What a great week, we worked so hard. I was completely drained last night. We are talking to so many people and it was great! We achieved many of our Goals! I love Elder Vidal. He's such a funny guy. But he is humble and wants to work hard. We did a service project at Brother Jim's house on tuesday! He from a little island in Scotland, called Shirtlin I think, but is a really awesome person. We were helping him on his pig farm this week and he pick picked us up at 10 am and I guess he thought it was a whole day service. And I thought 2 hours, just miscommunication, but we ended up working from 10am to 5pm. Haha, it was hard work but it was awesome. I would have tried to go back earlier but his truck was the only ride and then around 1 pm or so someone took the truck because they were gonna butcher one of the pigs.  So there we were, alone with Brother Jim in the middle of the jungle at his pig farm. Wh...

Week 95

Many changes! Hello everybody! This is my email for the last week! So May 27 - June 2. This was my last week with Elder Richeson and it was great! And sad. We went up to Tacloban together and I got to show him around. He is assigned there right now which is awesome because that was my first area. And then we parted ways. I stayed the night in Tacloban City and then woke up the next morning Thursday to go to the trainers training. I picked up my new companion Elder Vidal. Hes from the island of Iloilo on the left side in the middle of the Bukid Mountain. They speak Kinary-A. I am excited to work with him. It's been a good couple of days. The first day with him I woke up to noises in the kitchen, I got up thinking I must have missed the alarm. He was half way through cooking and then I grabbed the phone and saw it was 5:15 am, he woke up at 5 am to cook. Which is awesome, I just laughed. But I told him the earliest we were waking up from now on is 6 am.  We are really trying to help ...
