Week 23

Merry Christmas from the Philippines Merry Christmas everybody! This Christmas was really fun. It didn't feel like Christmas, ig, just cuz it's hot everyday and rains. But it was fun. That morning we traveled to go to the old apartment and it rained the whole way back while we were all singin' White Christmas. We then went to the church and had a zone council meeting, pretty typical normal meeting. Then after we had gift exchanges and I got a camera except it wasn't a camera it was a fan. Then we all went out and played volleyball for an hour or 2 and then we played basket ball for another hour and then we went home.  There's this joe (white man) that passed us a couple times on his electric bike tricycle thingy, and as he drives by he leans over and yells at us and says, 'One wife only guys, One wife!' Typical joe move, and an elder that was with us one time said the missionaries here before us told him about the same experience except he had his 20 year ol...

Week 22

Magundum gabii!  Magundum gabii! Not sure if that's spelled right but that's Tagalog. And then there's Cebuano which is maayong gabii. Then there's Waray-Waray which is maopay na gabi. Also Cebuano J which has all the Y's switched to J's, so quan maajong gabii, or for 'very good' is maajo kaajo. So there you go. Like I've said in others emails it's weird to learn multiple languages at once. Then it's funny sometimes when my comp tells me a word and doesn't know what language it's in, but people use it so it's great.  We had Christmas Confrence this week which was really fun. We also had '24 Chicken' which is this chicken place and they sell boneless chicken that tastes really good. It's weird thinking about back home and I dont think there's much chicken with bones there. Here that's the first time I've had boneless chicken in a while. I think there, KFC and McyD's are the only places with boneless chic...

Halo-halo   This last weeks email I accidentally sent from my comps, Elder Carter, account so yeah, there you go. That's actually the name of a dessert here, the title. Halo-halo. It's not great. It has things that could make it good but it's mostly shredded ice so its really watery. It's alright tho cuz I'm gettin' Spinners ice cream. Not that I even ate halo-halo today, I just had it once or twice a couple weeks ago.  Elder Collyer, my MTC district leader, came here this past week cuz his comp has a bunch of medical stuff and is at the hospital here. I went to McyD's today for pday and bought 2 happy meals. We're all buying the happy meals for the toys of course. They come with Pokemon cards so yeah every pday we've been on the grind. And guess what? We did it boys... We got the Pikachu  But yeah, I still need 2 more cards, to collect them all u kno? 1 of them is hard ta get and the other should be pretty easy.  This week has been good tho besides ...
