Week 20
Halo-halo
This last weeks email I accidentally sent from my comps, Elder Carter, account so yeah, there you go. That's actually the name of a dessert here, the title. Halo-halo. It's not great. It has things that could make it good but it's mostly shredded ice so its really watery. It's alright tho cuz I'm gettin' Spinners ice cream. Not that I even ate halo-halo today, I just had it once or twice a couple weeks ago.
Elder Collyer, my MTC district leader, came here this past week cuz his comp has a bunch of medical stuff and is at the hospital here. I went to McyD's today for pday and bought 2 happy meals. We're all buying the happy meals for the toys of course. They come with Pokemon cards so yeah every pday we've been on the grind. And guess what? We did it boys... We got the Pikachu
But yeah, I still need 2 more cards, to collect them all u kno? 1 of them is hard ta get and the other should be pretty easy.
This week has been good tho besides the Pokemon and our cabahay (roommate Elder Collyer). Elder Stafford bought a machete so that was pretty lit.
I shared my testimony in sacrament meeting on Sunday, mostly because I really felt prompted to by the Spirit. I shared just about what I talked about in one of my past emails--that if you want to feel the Lord's love, love your neighbor, go serve him or her. Yk normal things that Jesus would do. If you want to be happy, go make someone happy. Right, like the parable of the talents, don't bury them. And if you share them and try your best to share Christ's light, I can already imagine at the end of my life or your life, Christ saying, well done my good and faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee a ruler over many things, enter thou into the rest of thy Lord. Sorry if that's not exactly what it says in the Bible...it's off the top of my head. But it's my goal in life and my favorite scripture for sure. So yeah, share your talents or the light of Christ! As it says in the scriptures, we are all born with the light of Christ, so we all have something to share.
There's Christmas stuff everywhere here, but doesn't feel like Christmas. Decided that it'll never really feel like Christmas here, but that's alright. It's fun to be with all the Elders here and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. There's been a bunch more earthquakes here and white people. So far besides missionaries also here, I've seen 2 white girls since being in the Philippines which is kinda wild to think about. Not that it matters haha. We've been eating some food so that's a plus. Gihapon. Cya guys
