Week 19

For the last time Morning people Today I went to downtown. It was pretty fun. We also went to this mall. And we also walked a round and saw stuff. It was cool. I ate some cereal and had jollybee today if any of you know what that is.  On Saturday I saw this guy, right? He was sleeping next to this building on the ground--it was sad but that happens. After we came back that way I saw him still on the ground in the same position except their was blood everywhere; it was scary. We happened to also be coming back that way as the sister missionaries where also, so the sisters called AP's and the APs called all 5 emergency numbers and none of them picked up which was sad. Eventually they got there and brought him to the hospital. And then 3 hours later we were walkin places doing missionary things and a guy told us that the hospital already released him and was on the street again with bandages on his head. Still the same as when we found him except with bandages on his head. Grabbi, I t...

Week 18

Maupay naga, I got some spinners ice cream today. This week has been very cool. Or actually pretty normal except that my companion, Elder Zaragosa is leaving. :(  I'm leading the area, Tacloban City, this next cycle(1.5 months). Not sure how well I'll do in being a district leader. Gihapon Perro president gave the assignment so the Lord must trust me with it!  This last week on Saturday we all had "red rainfall warnings" which means apparently it's bad enough that all missionaries have to stay inside and wait for further instruction or something. We were all good but it was just annoying to stay inside the apartment for the whole day especially on a Saturday. It didn't even rain that much but oh well.  This mornin' we went to the Santa Nino shrine as part of the zone for an activity. It was pretty cool. Probably the only museum on the entire island. I think there's like one of those minecraft bug spawner cages in there somewhere.  There's ants ev...

Week 17

Bedknobs and broomsticks Morninggg This week was wild. I got to meet up with basically my whole batch from my MTC district except 1 person. And got to really meet some new missionaries as well which was awesome. We did this musical devotional that was really fun and Elder Revillo was here of the area Presidency (he's a general authority 70). To put in perspective he gave a conference talk or two in General Conference so it was really cool to meet him. He also did personal interviews with just a couple missionaries and I got to have a personal interview with him. He asked me a little about my fam and me and my mission. On Saturday we did a chapel tour thing and sung some more songs for the interested people that came. After we left in a van loaded to the brim with missionaries, my guy (the driver) decided swing a u-turn and we crashed into another guy. We're all good tho. On Sunday I gave my talk and it was actually really good. My hands were shakin as always when I give talks b...

Week 16

Mountain biking and the buko juice man    Hello hello! Hi guys. It's another p-day and you know what that means. It means preparation day-that's in case you didn't know what it means. I've started a new journal cuz my old one was just my study journal.  This week I baptized a living person, Randy, for the first time and I accidently said the baptism for the dead prayer if you can imagine that. I thank my parents for that as well because I would have never done that if I hadn't done baptisms for the dead so many times in the temple, which I'm really grateful for.  I went on a super pretty bike ride thingy today. Maybe this doesn't make sense, but I felt like I was in a different country just because how different it is from the city, which is my entire area. We rode bikes, myself, Elder Zaragosa and Elder Westover, an American elder, and these 2 senior couple missionaries that are from one of the many places in Utah. Elder and Sister Johnson. Or the missionar...
