Week 18

Maupay naga, I got some spinners ice cream today. This week has been very cool. Or actually pretty normal except that my companion, Elder Zaragosa is leaving. :( I'm leading the area, Tacloban City, this next cycle(1.5 months). Not sure how well I'll do in being a district leader. Gihapon Perro president gave the assignment so the Lord must trust me with it!
This last week on Saturday we all had "red rainfall warnings" which means apparently it's bad enough that all missionaries have to stay inside and wait for further instruction or something. We were all good but it was just annoying to stay inside the apartment for the whole day especially on a Saturday. It didn't even rain that much but oh well.
This mornin' we went to the Santa Nino shrine as part of the zone for an activity. It was pretty cool. Probably the only museum on the entire island. I think there's like one of those minecraft bug spawner cages in there somewhere.
There's ants everywhere, I think I've killed 1000's by now so I just stop trying. And there are worms in the bathroom sometimes and laundry room. They're not like the emoji worms that look like this
. All happy an' stuff--nope they're little demons that I'm honestly scared to touch them. They're the ones that try to go inside of you and take control of your brain. Ig not take control of ur brain but they are parasites which is really gross. I had a really gross dream about them last night but I'm not gonna share that one. Definitely gives himmy jimmy vibes.
Anyways after Santa Nino shrine we went to eat lunch with the sisters in our district at Chow King, it was good. If you ever get to eat siomai its the best food in the world especially street food siomai. Actually while we were taking a picture at Chow King place an earthquake happened that lasted for 20-30 seconds. It was wild, mainly because I've never felt one before. It felt like the world was wobbling and the ground. Nothing happened really but it was weird to really feel a bigger earth quake. I would be surprised if someone fell over for the amount of wobbliness.
Later we went around to find shoes and packing bags for Elder Zaragosa. And that's been my day so far. The week has been basically the same, still nervous about leading the area and leadering, mainly because I still can't really understand what people are saying. In waray-waray they mix it with Tagalog, and a little English. AND it's also a dialect of a dead language apparently, but it'll be cool to fully know it.
Christmas is coming everybody! We already got the nativity up and rollin' and rockin' Christmas pjs adlaw-adlaw! Sorry for random waray waray words but u might be able to translate them. Yana maaram ak na guti la waray-waray perro, I'll get there so it's all maupay la. Sana all, all waraywaray.
Anyways after reading nonsense, have fun with everything everybody! If you think you're having a bad day just be glad ig. And think about Christmas and listen to Christmas music and think Celestial gihapon. Ako gugma ko nimo!
