Week 4 MTC

Alooooohaaa.

This week has been great, and I can now say a full prayer in Cebuano or at least opening, say what I'm thankful for, and then close. I can say "please bless..." on a good day. So yk I'm practically fluent by now. I have 2 weeks lefts which pretty crazy. Imma be glad to have a Filipino companion but also I think imma miss having an American one too.

We had these prayers on our floor of our dorm building and what we all did was cram into one room and then someone gave a prayer as a farewell prayer which was pretty cool, you could just feel that energy of love just flowing through the room yk. And we did that twice.

Then another time the choir director said she could hear us at night because her room is below ours, so that night we decided to get every Elder we could find and cram into one room again and sing the song as loud as possible that she gave us, I thought that was just spectacular. I also bought can a pringles just incase u were wondering. And some lays, just thought id give yall some sneak peeks into my life here as a missionary yk.

Though I guess that's why I'm writing anyways so I'll say a little more. It's been really fun to just hang out with my buddies here at the MTC I'm really glad I got to know so many people here and become good friends with a lot of em too. My companion is perty amazin as well, Elder Steadman. I actually wrote a poem or something about him in this book im riding, so here's a little snippet from my book, it goes...

"9. But it behooveth me that I shall write concerning my companion for he is as my sunrise and sunset for he matcheth the glory thereof.
10. And whithersoever he may be, he cookethª. For he is the Chef and life is his kitchen."

Some good stuff right there.

I told Elder Marx, our zone leader, that I would write about him in my email, so ya, luv u Elder Marx ❤️ hopefully you'll see this. We went to the temple today which was really cool and I played some ping-pong. Today was definitely one of the best days, it was spiritual and fun. I also ate some fish eyeballs which were really weird and some booger jelly with cheese on top as a desert that I used as a dare for Elder Erickson in my District to eat. I said I'd give him 15 mentos to eat the whole little cup they gave us of the sewer jelly, and he did which definitely worth it. Not sure if it was worth it to him though, I'm guessing not. I met a missionary that was is my home ward previously in Harrisonburg that was at the temple today and I got to take a picture with him, his name was Elder Wilson that got called to the Philippines but then got reassigned bc of COVID. Hopefully I'll be able to send a picture to yall next week.

My brother, Clark made these 2 songs that I'm putting in the email that I think are really good, sorry Clark if you don't want me too, cuz I am. Also the pringles and lays that I bought are good, just if you were also wondering again. Salt and vinegar lays guys, Mm Mm Mmmmm. That's the stuff right there. Just waiting till the right time to open em up this time if ya know what I mean. Once you open em, there gone within the next 2 minutes and 27 seconds. I timed myself... not actually tho, that'd be weird. One more thing, I'd never thought id be into flute music and stuff like that but here I am Jammin out to my flute and orchestra music.

Now for a spiritual thought, remember to read the scriptures, they have all the answers and I've learned so much here at the MTC about the meaning of different verses and things like that. And pray about them--I think that's something I can get better at is praying before and after I read the scriptures just about what I will read, what I read, questions I have, clarification of what I read, and most importantly having the spirit with you so you can truly learn about what's in them and know the truth of what you read and learn. And truly come closer to Christ. He's the reason we have them.

Email me back if you want or not. Not tryna guilt trip yall or nothin just always appreciate what's happening back home or whoever you are :) love you guys❤️ especially Elder Steadman, he's a cutie patootie.
