Week 22

Magundum gabii!

Magundum gabii! Not sure if that's spelled right but that's Tagalog. And then there's Cebuano which is maayong gabii. Then there's Waray-Waray which is maopay na gabi. Also Cebuano J which has all the Y's switched to J's, so quan maajong gabii, or for 'very good' is maajo kaajo. So there you go. Like I've said in others emails it's weird to learn multiple languages at once. Then it's funny sometimes when my comp tells me a word and doesn't know what language it's in, but people use it so it's great.

We had Christmas Confrence this week which was really fun. We also had '24 Chicken' which is this chicken place and they sell boneless chicken that tastes really good. It's weird thinking about back home and I dont think there's much chicken with bones there. Here that's the first time I've had boneless chicken in a while. I think there, KFC and McyD's are the only places with boneless chicken. Masarap ta laga.

I learned a lot about the book of Revelations yesterday gihapon, gisiring about temples and other things which is really cool. Mainly I learned so many things that I've never heard before which was really cool. Sister Ah Wong was the teacher that time, and knows the meaning of everything so ya she went deep into Revelations. I really liked how in that book it talks about temples and the promises or covenants we make with Heavenly Father in the temples. We also talked about how Christ created the earth under our fathers direction, of course, but because it says He created things with love. How did He do that? The matter obeyed because of Christ's righteousness and love.

So lets say when Satin tempted Jesus on Earth, while he was fasting, if Christ would have turned the rock into bread, the world would have vanished away because Christ would have become imperfect. This is what Heavenly Father promises us if we endure to the end and get on and stay on the covenant path. These commandments aren't just here to keep us safe or help us be good people in general, which they do, but to prepare to meet God as it says in The Book of Mormon. Or in other words reach Godhood. It says it well obviously in Revelations, if you read Revelations 3, it talks about it really well. Or all of Revelations. Crazy stuff.

Not too much happenin here right now. I'm getting Spinners later. Probably gonna get 1 for breakfast, lunch and dinner so I can obtain the Spinners mug. I'm locked in for that mug.

I got to meet some people one day. I also met this person that says she has a boyfriend who lives in Reno, Nevada. Bru, i was about to ask how old he was but we all know how old he is, probably 30 years older than her. Different.

We also moved apartments today! My first time being in another apartment outside from my last complex. It's pretty nice. I'll make a video for y'all--it's super green. Like lots of green paint.

I bought some Christmas presents for my district. Being the District Leader I've been trying to treat my district haha.  But actually tho I'm really proud of them-- kay, we're the best district in the zone. To put in prospective basically the top companionships (with best stats) in the Tacloban zone are all my district 🎅 Also not bragging, kay, it wasn't me doing the work. I've seen help from the Lord adlaw-adlaw. Like Alma I'm boasting of God.

I got 2 pro Spinners yana adlaw gihap. Also went caroling and conducted music with a cucumber. 🥒 Image walking around a village or barangay with a cucumber. Got some cool pictures too of my cucumber which I'll send. I can already imagine the kids who just look at the pictures. Oh brother. My dad says that a lot. Think Imma start saying that too. Right now if I get surprised or frustrated by something I say payita, or pastilan, or agi daw.

Also shoutout to Uncle Dave for picking the present he brought to the ugly sweater party.  Kinda takes the fun outta "gift exchange" diba? Anyways, chillin here as always or actually the opposite but still learnin' and stuff. Kitakits ngan Merry Christmas 🎄 !

- Besides this part, if you find the difference I'll send you 5 exclusive photos from the Philippines 🙃
