Week 95

Many changes!

Hello everybody! This is my email for the last week! So May 27 - June 2. This was my last week with Elder Richeson and it was great! And sad. We went up to Tacloban together and I got to show him around. He is assigned there right now which is awesome because that was my first area. And then we parted ways. I stayed the night in Tacloban City and then woke up the next morning Thursday to go to the trainers training. I picked up my new companion Elder Vidal. Hes from the island of Iloilo on the left side in the middle of the Bukid Mountain. They speak Kinary-A. I am excited to work with him. It's been a good couple of days. The first day with him I woke up to noises in the kitchen, I got up thinking I must have missed the alarm. He was half way through cooking and then I grabbed the phone and saw it was 5:15 am, he woke up at 5 am to cook. Which is awesome, I just laughed. But I told him the earliest we were waking up from now on is 6 am.

We are really trying to help people find the truth for themselves. Many people are confused about God here, not really the question why are there so many churches, but they say instead we all believe in the same God and it's all the same. It's sad to see people struggle and know they'll probably just be confused the rest of their life unless they humble themselves and truly seek God in the right ways, first is by the fruits. The Church of Jesus Christ is doing everything to glorify God and serve everyone! Love is the key. Next is organization, We will know that from how Christ has organized it before: prophets, apostles, authority, miracles, revalation. Christ lives, this is His church.

Ephesians 2:20
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

I know through the Holy Spirit, that has testified of these things to me in my heart everyday here. Love for Christ, joy through all challenges, and peace while sharing Christ's gospel, and personal study while reading the Book of Mormon.

Galatians 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

These feelings are all from the spirit to those who diligently seek Him. I have felt all this while reading the Book of Mormon. Especially 3 Nephi 11. What a blessing that God has given us clear sight to His Church this day. It is so different...it's not "all the same". We have prophets, apostles, authority, revalation. It's this authority that allows us to be even with the ones we love forever. He gave us the Book of Mormon and restored His church through the prophet Joseph Smith. But the most important thing for us is to read the Book of Mormon for ourselves and ask God if it be true, and as He had promised in James 1:5
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

God will answer your prayer if you have faith.
God loves us, all these things are evidence of His continuous love for us and that He will support us in all our trials.

Hope you all have a great day!
