Week 89

Hi Friends! I guess the homecoming talk will be Sunday July 13. Invite your friends to come worship Christ with us!

This week was amazing as we met many people and were able go interview 2 people for baptism. It was a great experience to see these people ready to be baptized into Jesus Christ's living church. I remember thinking before what a bold statement to say 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only Church on Earth that is Christ's true church, His Church, and is guided directly by Jesus Christ Himself.' This would be very extreme even blasphemy, IF it wasn't true... But it is true! Christ said I came unto my own and my own received me not. 

As we see even today some people reject Jesus Christ. But many just receive a portion. Just a sliver even, of Christ and His Gospel. What a blessing it is to be a part of Christ's Church. We know His plan and where we came from: why are we here and even where we are going! Even if we make all of God's covenants and do nothing, we receive nothing. Likewise if we do more we receive more. Our covenants are the access to blessings and even spiritual gifts. But just access! Just having the access card /key doesn't get us in the door.

We had a lot of food this week, and people fed us every night! We cooked this new recipe that didn't taste good haha. Then we got to also bake cookies with the Relief Society! (Oldest woman's organization in the world). We're at the beach right now actually. We visited a different beach place earlier where there is a fish sanctuary. We rode around 3.5 + miles to get there then decided not to enter because of all the little boys there. I am very scared of teenage kids here. So we left and found somewhere else to go.
