Week 78
Mabuhay. Pesensya po sa akin mga kapatid nga nakalimut ako pag padala ng email sa nuong semana caso mayada na yana

Good morning Philippines and good afternoon America! This week was interesting. I found the biggest spider so far on my mission and my companion was sick so that was fun. My companion and the other companionship here was sick. Throwing up and stomach pains. Except me, just studying. And reading the Saints book! It's great. I have seen the hand of the Lord in that way as my blessing says multiple times of blessing me with health and strength as I read the scriptures and strive to be close to the Lord.
I have been contemplating the goodness of God as I have been thinking about all the blessings the Lord has given us. I have the amazing opportunity of being a servant of Christ Himself, sharing the most important message and plan to His children here. My testimony in our Savior Jesus Christ has exponentially grown as I see Him work through us each day. The fact we get to be here on earth and experience life's ups and downs is amazing. All with the purpose to help us learn and grow to become like Him.
I always pray that I might be able to change my wants and desires to the wants and purpose of our Heavenly Father. Life is truly a great test. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ lives. And that repentance is the gift whereby all people can be changed and come to Christ; I have been changed!. I was reading about the Atonement as President Russell M. Nelson has instructed to do each week for the rest of our lives. At One Ment: we are separated from Heavenly Father because of our uncleanliness, sins and imperfections, but He made it possible through Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection that we all have the opportunity to be at ONE with Heavenly father. That is true joy that starts now. Not tomorrow. Or might be in 5 years or just after we die. If we are not happy now why would we be happy after we die. Let Christ Bring Joy into Our Lives and do everything that glorifies God. We all have a work to do! And if we continue I know God's promise is that all things will be made Right..
Here is Alma's experience that is a good relation to what it feels like to change our ways to follow Christ.
Alma 36:..
17 And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment, while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins, behold, I remembered also to have heard my father prophesy unto the people concerning the coming of one Jesus Christ, a Son of God, to atone for the sins of the world.
18 Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.
19 And now, behold, when I thought this, I could remember my pains no more; yea, I was harrowed up by the memory of my sins no more.
20 And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold; yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!
21 Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy.
I wish I could talk to all of you in person, but I have really changed on this mission to share about the gospel of Jesus Christ and help others change and come unto Him. I feel like a new creature as the bible says and am excited to continue learning about Jesus Christ and how to be like Him. As the song says in I can go the distance, even if it takes a life time.
We met some awesome people this week though and are excited to keep working! We have a conference this Wednesday with Elder Wong from the area presidency. Then we also have exchanges tomorrow! I had some really good kinilaw here this last week, which is basically raw fish, vinegar, veggies, and coconut milk sometimes...
Anyways love y'all and wish the best for you in whatever you're doing right now!
We had some FHEs and baptism of Jethro Poblete!
