Week 30

Transfer board babyyy👶

Yoyoyo mornin buddies. We going to the Dagat todayyyyy! (The beach.) Cant wait. Also this week was pretty successful kay--we got to teach some really cool people and also go to mommy jollys birthday yesterday which was pretty fun. [We call some of the sisters in the ward "mommy" then followed by their first name.] We got to go the mountains and teach people there to. 

Nuthin super crazy happened this week but I finally dropped my shoes off at a guy in our ward to fix my shoes. He's gonna put new soles on the bottom and then imma polish them too. 

I got my sick new Tac Town Jersey #7 Robertson. It's pretty lit. 

Also, we got it guys. The transfer board is out. My comp and ZL 1 are leaving and imma be.... a trainer. It's GoNnA BE HYPE. Can't wait. Actually it's gonna hard but awesome at the same time. Sometimes if you got the himmy jimmys, you gotta take those himmy jimmys, put em on a hook and catch a fish, then cook that fish and eat it. Cuz it feels good to face your fear and succeed. Idk if I have a fear of training but the Lord trusts me with this Elder so I'm gonna raise him up in the Lord. Do all I can through my example and words ta show him how to be a good missionary! 

I really want someone from Mindanao cuz then they'll already know Bisaya (Cebuano) :). Or they could be American and this cycle will be twice as hard. :p 

But either way God has given me the materials to train him the way He wants this Elder to be trained. Now it's my part to search for and use those materials to accomplish the things which He has commanded me! Same for y'all too-- training or not! Love u guys!

Ayos lang ko, caso lang, medyo masakit ang katawhan ko.  Kay nabaskit mi sa umaga   Hi there! It's me Elder Robertson here again. We played a lot of basketball earlier with some of our friends for about 2 hours! I wish I listened to my track Coach Mathias about stretching. I can definitely count on one hand how many times I've stretched these past 2 years, and now I'm sore everywhere haha! I have a goal now to stretch once a week. If I can remember and if that even makes a difference.  We ate with the other Elders, we all bought sisig, (the pig face that you chop up and sizzle in a pan). I will cook this when I get home for anyone that wants!  We did so much this week that I can barely remember it all. But it was awesome. We achieved our goals. Which saying that outloud makes this missionary work sound like some business. Well it's the business of God. Week 99

Ang huling email ko, tapos na ang misyon ko duon sa filipinas, pero hindi pa sa aking buhay. Hello everyone! This one is a little late because I didn't have a phone Monday. This one will be my last week writing or second to last. I am Home! Already released as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Sunday President and Sister Martinez came to our branch and I gave a last talk. They took us to Tacloban afterwards. Then I worked in Tacloban the rest of the day.  We did departing activities Monday then Tuesday we left to Manila. We were able to meet up with a past companion in Manila, Elder Valencia, or brother, and eat out with him in the Mall of Asia. Then Wednesday morning we woke up at 3:30 am and left to the airport and flew out to San Francisco, 13 hours, then after arriving in the US we had a 4 hour layover and said goodbye to all my batchmates, then another 5 ½ hours to Dulles Washington DC, then I saw my family!  I felt so sick and...

Week 92

Election day para sa mga candidato! Kinsa modaog? Ambot.   Hi family! And friends! I am stuck in the house right now. It's election day and to be safe we aren't allowed to leave the apartment. I've scrubbed my clothes and they are soaking now, I'll hang them to dry soon. I took a refreshing bucket shower this morning and then we ate some pancakes which I made. We had a meeting earlier about helping members and being diligent! I got a little video clip that hopefully you can watch about Joseph smith, "this should be our finest work.. nothing but the best for the Lord". I often wonder what I can do more or how I can increase my capacity to help others. One way I found is in Mosiah 2-4...all of his sermon is to teach people to do one thing.. "..that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God.." [Mosiah 4:26].
