Week 13
Surprise in the Bag
Hi everybody,
It's been a good week. Nothin really new. I got to meet all the new batch of elders that came in. It's always cool when we go up to the mountain.
This week tho I bought some special K, the vanilla almond flavor, and anyone that knows what I'm talking about knows it's one of the best foods in this world that God has blessed us with. Anyways so I found some, so of course I had to buy it no matter the price. I saved it until that next morning so it would feel kinda like an early Christmas morning you kno. Anyways so I finally opened it and told me companion, "Aww man, Elder... it's gonna be a good week" . Then obviously it was a good day. But then the next morning as I poured another bowl I saw tiny black dots all over the cereal. Yup, it was ants. So that was annoying. Not really the fact that they were on my food cuz I definitely still ate the rest of it, nothing could stop me from that. It was the part where they were eating my cereal and taking it somewhere else. Like dude, not cool--I paid for that yk.
Anyways it was a good week tho. I just stocked up again and this time got some frosted flakes and some cheap fake box milk. It rained a lot this week too and I got soaked probably like every other day. We had a choir practice today that took 3 hours but I got to meet some new people and it was a good time so that was good.
I tried to solve a Rubik's cube. That didn't work out well.
I heard this analogy yesterday about a train that I told my family about. Basically there's a train and everyone's on it, and it starts moving. You can stay on the covenant train thing or path, or you can jump off and then try to get back on. But of course the train keeps speeding up to slowly. The analogy is basically that as time goes on, like President Nelson said, it's going to be harder or impossible to survive spiritually with out the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost. Eventually there's gonna be a point where if you jump off, you're gonna get hurt and it's gonna be so hard to get back on. So Don't Jump Off The Train. Stay on the covenant path. Don't think dumb, think celestial. Hope y'all r doin' well! Cya!!
