Week 11

WATSUP GUYS! I GIVE UP ON THE NUMBER AND WEEK ITS TOO MUCH WORK SO IM JUST GONNA TYPE RANDOM STUFF IN ALL CAPS FOR THE REST OF MY 2 YEARS FOR THE HEADING TITLE THINGY FOR MY EMAILS. I GUESS NOT RANDOM CUZ IM JUST EXPLAINING WHY IN THIS TITLE ONE FIRST IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE.

Hello from the other side!

There's so much that happened this week! I got to teach people and eat some food and other fun stuff! Basically just the same, nothing really special happened besides teaching the gospel which is always a plus! But I did get to experience being broke. It kinda stinks. I didn't have any money for about 2 an a half days. I found a can of meat one time here which was good, and had a couple meals of rice and ketchup. I was definitely blessed that I still usually had something to eat, so ya I'm grateful that we had rice and saved the McD ketchup packets. 

I felt bad for this dog one time because we were on one of the cement walkways for the canals and there was a dog walking on it, coming the other direction. Anyways basically my companion kicked it off. It didn't fall too far, but now the little dog is stuck down there forever. :( 

I got to try some new foods and I'm gunna have some spinners ice cream which I've been looking forward to all week, every day. I can almost taste it just thinking about it. if you close your eyes and just pretend to take a scoop it's enough to make me smile. I image that's what heaven will be like, where we're all in an infinite flat white plain of clouds...if you can imagine that. And it's filled with infinite rows of spinners ice cream stands and it's all free. And then there are trees too, and from the trees are growing full cups of spinners ice cream. And then there are sinks too, and when you turn the faucets on spinners ice cream just comes out. And yk the moon with Wallace and Grommet where it's made of cheese, except here it's made of spinners ice cream. That's what I imagine anyways.

I'm in a haircut place rn writing this. They're playing BIG and some Tupac in here which is pretty cool ig. They like golf, the NBA, and Lilo and Stitch I think based on all the posters up in here. And a haircut style called the scumbag boogie. 

These kids also did this dance for a stake activity event thing that was pretty funny. I added the video of it to the shared album. I'll send the link again. I didn't play basketball today. I found another bigger rat this week, so I tried to throw a rock at it but it escaped. It's also sad seeing a lot of the dogs out here laying on the side of the street. They are like half dead and look like they have 20 diseases. Hopefully you all r doing good, and hope you get to try some spinners sometime. You guys should listen to "If this is the last time" by LANY. And "God is" by someone I'm not sure but it's good. Latr guysss

Ayos lang ko, caso lang, medyo masakit ang katawhan ko.  Kay nabaskit mi sa umaga   Hi there! It's me Elder Robertson here again. We played a lot of basketball earlier with some of our friends for about 2 hours! I wish I listened to my track Coach Mathias about stretching. I can definitely count on one hand how many times I've stretched these past 2 years, and now I'm sore everywhere haha! I have a goal now to stretch once a week. If I can remember and if that even makes a difference.  We ate with the other Elders, we all bought sisig, (the pig face that you chop up and sizzle in a pan). I will cook this when I get home for anyone that wants!  We did so much this week that I can barely remember it all. But it was awesome. We achieved our goals. Week 99

Ang huling email ko, tapos na ang misyon ko duon sa filipinas, pero hindi pa sa aking buhay. Hello everyone! This one is a little late because I didn't have a phone Monday. This one will be my last week writing or second to last. I am Home! Already released as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Sunday President and Sister Martinez came to our branch and I gave a last talk. They took us to Tacloban afterwards. Then I worked in Tacloban the rest of the day.  We did departing activities Monday then Tuesday we left to Manila. We were able to meet up with a past companion in Manila, Elder Valencia, or brother, and eat out with him in the Mall of Asia. Then Wednesday morning we woke up at 3:30 am and left to the airport and flew out to San Francisco, 13 hours, then after arriving in the US we had a 4 hour layover and said goodbye to all my batchmates, then another 5 ½ hours to Dulles Washington DC, then I saw my family!  I felt so sick and...

Week 92

Election day para sa mga candidato! Kinsa modaog? Ambot.   Hi family! And friends! I am stuck in the house right now. It's election day and to be safe we aren't allowed to leave the apartment. I've scrubbed my clothes and they are soaking now, I'll hang them to dry soon. I took a refreshing bucket shower this morning and then we ate some pancakes which I made. We had a meeting earlier about helping members and being diligent! I got a little video clip that hopefully you can watch about Joseph smith, "this should be our finest work.. nothing but the best for the Lord". I often wonder what I can do more or how I can increase my capacity to help others. One way I found is in Mosiah 2-4...all of his sermon is to teach people to do one thing.. "..that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God.." [Mosiah 4:26]. Achieving this is not a singular decision but rather a decision we have to make...
