Week 10

There's so much that happened this week but it feels like my last pday was 2 days ago! Weeks are really starting to pick up and I've already been in the Philippines for over 2 months! Which is pretty wild! I'll give a little share and tell today. I would do a show and tell but I can't really show you, so just use your imagination ig. Here there's no toilet paper so you use a bucket of water to pour down ur back, and then use your hand if you want. I don't use my hand tho, I just trust the bucket. 

Also there's chicken fights and I was really close to watching one but we had to leave. It's just where people get their champ fighter chickens and form a circle and put each others chickens in the middle to fight to the death, which would be so fun to watch. We also killed like 3 rats so far. We named them Remi, Remi Jr., and Juliet. I've also seen the biggest ones ever out in the street like a foot long or longer maybe. I also saw some weird looking frogs and a bunch more wild cats and dogs. I'll try and send a video of one. 

Also apparently when it rains it's bath time. One time we were up in the mountain and it started to rain and then all of a sudden there were a bunch of naked kids everywhere which was pretty different from Virginia, at least. I don't know how they do it in other places. We also used to have the worst alarm--it was this dude singing glory glory hallelujah, and voice cracking super hard on every other word. 

We've also knocked on some booshziee (bougie) houses or however you spell that word, I don't think it's a real word anyways so ig it doesn't matter. I also learned that minimum wage which is pretty normal here is like 7 dollars a DAY, ig it's more than I'm making right now but still pretty crazy. I probably spend like 2-4 dollars a day and we can travel just about anywhere for like 20-50 cents in a transport thingy. 

I found out that I've actually lost 1 pound. I used to be 4% body fat, but after losing that pound I've gotta be like 3 or 2% now for something. I also got raided by a bunch a kids too. There was like 20 kids and they were all holding all to me as we were trying to leave the village. After that it looked like I was rolling around in the dirt. Anyways I saw some more white dudes and also taught a Filipino person this week that was from the Philippines apparently and could even speak waray waray and Tagalog and stuff so that was really cool. Yk that actually also happened like 1000 more times this week so that's was really cool. I learned that ghosts are real and stuff like that and faceless people like the white lady. 

So far I've been called Joe, American man, dude, bro, son in law, and some others ones probably. We played some basketball today. I ate some food. Also some random English words that are confusing sometimes, saying "I am" means dog, "hotdog" means give, "ate" means sister. It's also funny when people will say morning to me at 7 pm, I think they just like speaking English. Hope y'all r doing good and send emails if you want. Luv u guys
