Week 6 MTC

Hello from the Philippines

It's been a good week. I gotta do some tie trading and ping pong. We also got raided last night by kids with toilet paper-they came in and just started bombing our room. Then they started ding dong ditching people with it. I learned this week that pigs can read, and that their communists. So watch out if your pigs are reading books and don't let them be in charge of government and stuff like that. 

I'm in choir practice right now so this email might be a lil shorter. We ate some lunch today at this gucci restaurant today that was way overpriced. Our roommates are still super fun to hang out with and I'll definitely miss them and my companion Elder Steadman, he's definitely my most favorite-ist companion I've ever had. I'll miss the ice cream too. I hope I see a monkey in the field too, that'd be pretty sick. Also if someone could search up what a mirror is made out of and respond to this email, my district has been talking about what it is, so ya that'd be helpful to know.

And while you're at it if you could just pirate the entire new post malone album and send that over, thanks. Joklang joklang. I think that's joke in tagolic maybe. 

I gave a talk this Sunday that I didn't prepare for because it's random each week. We're supposed to prepare one before but I forgot. It was pretty good tho, just using the spirit yk... and a little help from a scripture and some notes from my district leader. But other than that it was all the spirit which was pretty cool. can't wait to serve the people here and get out in the field, I'll probably have a massive email next week about all the new stuff that happened, or I won't have Internet and I'll go off grid for a bit. But hopefully I will. 

I leave to the field this week on Friday morning! 2 days! It's gonna be hard but it's gonna be that much better yk, There's opposition in all things, so basically the more trials we have or the harder it gets the greater the capacity we have to love and feel joy. I think it's always important to remember the best way to feel joy and love is by expressing that joy and love to others and having a character of Christ. Also the picture of the food is my house I made; it's pretty sick. I patted down the foundation and then built the walls, next I added a little pool and then a sidewalk going to it. I'm probably gonna be an architect when I'm older I can already tell.

Ayos lang ko, caso lang, medyo masakit ang katawhan ko.  Kay nabaskit mi sa umaga   Hi there! It's me Elder Robertson here again. We played a lot of basketball earlier with some of our friends for about 2 hours! I wish I listened to my track Coach Mathias about stretching. I can definitely count on one hand how many times I've stretched these past 2 years, and now I'm sore everywhere haha! I have a goal now to stretch once a week. If I can remember and if that even makes a difference.  We ate with the other Elders, we all bought sisig, (the pig face that you chop up and sizzle in a pan). Week 99

Ang huling email ko, tapos na ang misyon ko duon sa filipinas, pero hindi pa sa aking buhay. Hello everyone! This one is a little late because I didn't have a phone Monday. This one will be my last week writing or second to last. I am Home! Already released as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Sunday President and Sister Martinez came to our branch and I gave a last talk. They took us to Tacloban afterwards. Then I worked in Tacloban the rest of the day.  We did departing activities Monday then Tuesday we left to Manila. We were able to meet up with a past companion in Manila, Elder Valencia, or brother, and eat out with him in the Mall of Asia. Then Wednesday morning we woke up at 3:30 am and left to the airport and flew out to San Francisco, 13 hours, then after arriving in the US we had a 4 hour layover and said goodbye to all my batchmates, then another 5 ½ hours to Dulles Washington DC, then I saw my family!  I felt so sick and...

Week 92

Election day para sa mga candidato! Kinsa modaog? Ambot.   Hi family! And friends! I am stuck in the house right now. It's election day and to be safe we aren't allowed to leave the apartment. I've scrubbed my clothes and they are soaking now, I'll hang them to dry soon. I took a refreshing bucket shower this morning and then we ate some pancakes which I made. We had a meeting earlier about helping members and being diligent! I got a little video clip that hopefully you can watch about Joseph smith, "this should be our finest work.. nothing but the best for the Lord". I often wonder what I can do more or how I can increase my capacity to help others. One way I found is in Mosiah 2-4...all of his sermon is to teach people to do one thing.. "..that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God.." [Mosiah 4:26]. Achieving this is not a singular decision but rather a decision we have to make...
